According to the report, "King Kong vs. Godzilla" will take place in the same universe as the prequel "Kong: Skull Island" and "Godzilla 2." In other words, both "Kong: Skull Island" and "Godzilla 2" will set the stage for "King Kong vs. Godzilla." As a result, audiences will have to wait until 2019 to see the epic clash. However, Universal Studios has shown little interest in "King Kong," so Legendary Pictures is teaming up with Warner Bros. to produce these three films. Warner Bros. will contribute 25% of the budget and handle distribution. The biggest challenge for "King Kong vs. Godzilla" is the vast size difference between the two monsters. Godzilla towers above the skyscrapers, while King Kong can only perch atop the Empire State Building. How can they possibly go head-to-head? But Legendary Pictures isnt worried. They have their ways to address this issue and not only bring the two monsters into battle but also unite them.
